Want to ask Nicholas a question? Want to see what the noble boy's planning? Then post here.
----
You enter the room to breathe in the smell of lavender and tea. Windows surround the room, draped with intricately-detailed silk curtains of white and beige. A vivid carpet rests beneath your feet, probably purchased from a land far away. On it, eye-pleasing patterns twirl and swirl in a mixture of both artistry and skilled subtleness. A large painting domineers over the room, eyes watch every movement from the back of the room. From the outside of the door, hushed mumbling and running can be heard as people tread back and forth along the hall.
From what you can see, whoever lives there seems to be pretty well-off.
The sound of a teacup clinks as it's placed down upon a precious china plate. " This had better be important," comes a huffy voice,
" You know that I don't have much time to waste before those filthy swine come up and--"
Turning to face you the blonde noble freezes. Recovering from the shock, the child smiles warmly. " Ah," he laughs lightly, " I'm afraid I didn't see you there.
Come in; come in. Did you need anything from me?"
Offering you a seat, the boy crosses his legs as he makes himself comfortable. " Well?" he asks, " Go ahead.
After all, it's the job of a Whitestag noble to make his citizens feel safe and assured." [/blockquote][/color]

My god, you're such a whiny little brat.
How does Gold even put up with you?

With a forced smile, the young noble breaks his cup.
Truly the air of a boy who has complete hold of himself. " A whiny....little....brat?" he repeats.
" I'll show you a whiny little brat when I lock your ungrateful butt up in the dungeons to rot until your grandchildren's grandchildren have grandchildren! Whiny little brat! If I was a whinny little brat, I would have had you kicked out of here five minutes ago or the moment you looked me in the eye! Now wait until I get my hands on you-- Gold! COME HERE NOW-- then you'll regret it! I'll make you regret the moment you were even born into this world and have your body pried from the cold, hard, ground or stabbed to the stake and -- GOLD! GET IN HERE!"
The whining continues for ten minutes (but feels like twenty) or so.
By then, the boy's already thrown his daily hissy fit.
{ And of course, this is normal for everyone in the house. Poor chaps.}

With a wave of his hand, the young noble frowned. " Spiked tea," he replied matter-of-factly, " Obviously. You at least retain dignity while being wasted beyond the point of caring."
" After all, you can use it as an excuse to blame that irritating neighbour who refuses to lower down his volume and screaming every evening and mid-afternoon. Just barge in, accuse them of treason, and you have complete silence for the rest of the week.
One can argue that it's not just, but not everyone can be pleased."

What do you most enjoy doing when you have free-time, that doesn't involve a negative outcome for others?

You'd better watch out.
I hear Gold is planning to sell you. Are you really his 'bitch'?

What is Gold's favorite color? I mean...you should know right? As an heir you should pride yourself on knowing what your pet likes...right?

"It seems that the questions have piled up while I was gone," the boy frowns, " Of course, nothing else can be expected of one as grand and high in power as myself.
Now to answer your dear little questions. Isn't that so sweet of me?"
What do you most enjoy doing when you have free-time, that doesn't involve a negative outcome for others?
"Negative outcome for others?" he smiles, " What on earth do you mean?
All my decisions and choices are absolutely beneficial to others~ Why, they probably appreciate the attention brought as an effect when it is given to them.
After all, not everyone is lucky enough to have even a single glance from me onto them."
Waving away the question, the boy gives a short laugh. " Next?"
What is Gold's favorite color? I mean...you should know right? As an heir you should pride yourself on knowing what your pet likes...right? "Well," he says huffily, " I thought these questions were meant for ME. If you wanted to hear an answer so.very.much about him then why did you not ask him yourself?
But if you must know, it is obviously blue. Why not gold, you may ask?
Because I said it was."
It's probably gold.
I hear Gold is planning to sell you. Are you really his 'bitch'?
Glaring icily, the boy smiles.
" I refuse to answer that question, sir or madame. Obviously, I am no one's bitch.
Now if you would kindly leave my sight before I have to use force?"

A noble Whitestag old woman sat beside him during the party. Her hands covered with white gloves, her lips were as pure gold and her dress was as golden as the eating knives and forks. Her once flamboyant brunette hair was staring to gray over time. Her brown eyes slightly opened almost as if she was tired. She graced the young heir with a pleasant smile "I haven't talked to you in a long time, it seems you've changed much" she covered her smile with her hand as she giggled. "You used to like sitting on my lap but now you don't even grace my eyes during a party, Nicholas. May I ask what has grabbed your attention so much that you can no longer look your old aunty in the eye?" She was not his aunty, she was just a noble that was in good graces with the little heir.

Squirming slightly in his seat, the noble boy threw the lady an irritable look. At his side, an elderly woman sat draped in pure gold; her formerly flamboyant dark-brown hair having dulled with time. With a grace of high-upbringing and a noble air, she maintained the image of her former status even in her old age. She was a whitestag noble, and always would be one.
"I haven't talked to you in a long time, it seems you've changed much" she said with a giggle, "You used to like sitting on my lap but now you don't even grace my eyes during a party, Nicholas. May I ask what has grabbed your so much that you can no longer look your old aunty in the eye?"
"Things change, madame." the boy replied icily, a defensiveness commonly seen in his tone rising as he spoke "People do as well--for better or worse.
To answer your question, I had to grow. There's no more time for idle things such as chatting with one whose time has already passed." Looking at the woman, he muttered. " For example," he added, " Look at you. When I was little, you had been so filled with life and youth.
But as I grew older, you withered.
The new generation is in charge of keeping the power while the old is left to stay watching in the background, reminiscing about the former strength and glory they used to command. They know they cannot take it back, no amount of hair dye rewinds time after all. So although they--you-- can choose to sit slothfully by, I cannot."
" You see," he said with a knowing smile, " Soon, I shall be the one in charge. And things will be run oh so differently when the district is under my rule.
Since I have to--grudgingly--respect our old 'relationship', I shall let you in on some plans of mine. I know that I can trust you with these secrets, for I have means of getting what I desire."
Leaning in closely, the boy smirked. Lifting a graceful finger, the noble child began. " First," he said, his voice hushed but poisonous, "I'm planning on preparing a little... something... for those who've crossed me.
Second, I'm getting back at those who've blasphemed my name and orders. Discipline is needed to solve insolence; so a strict punishment there shall be. If I want to stop people from questioning the things I say, I have to show them that they cannot. And to do so, they need to be put in their places.
For no one can be right aside from I! Me and my rule and sayings are absolute! Unquestionable! Those who say otherwise are treacherous traitors or envious swine.
This is where your generation of nobles ( or at least some of them) were wrong. The people do not need love to obey. They do not need happiness and respect fro kindness.
They need to be taught and trained, just like the animals or pets they are and always will be."

I must know, if you had to choose between getting married to instantly become the unquestioned heir of the house, or having to plod through your current situation, maintaining your place where it is, what would you choose?

"Marriage," he said quickly, "The sooner I'm able to acquire the throne, the better. Besides, who said there was a necessity to be loyal? There are still other mistresses that can be taken in.
And if something goes wrong... I have ways of fixing that. "

Whatever happened to cause you to be so mean to others? Is there a reason why you have little compassion?
Empathy is the trait of a human being, and humanity alone is what gives value to the human race.
So...why is it that you appear to have very little humanity?

The Whitestag Noble smiled, "I knew I could put my faith in you, your plan is lovely and it will be an honor if you allowed me to help you. My young lord, I await when you ascend to the thrown. And please do not wait until this one is dead, I want to see what you do. I want to witness what you can accomplish. You have my unwavering support"
