Want to ask Jeanne a question? Give it a shot here!
---------
" An inquiry?" the woman mumbles, glancing breathlessly back " Make it quick. I'm afraid I have some business to tend to after this."
Turning to face you, the figure pulls down her hood to reveal a young Frenchwoman of short stature. " Well," she says, her voice tinged with a strange accent, " Go on then. You had a question to ask me, non?"

Stress pain in your back or a twisted ankle from wearing high heels?

" Oh," she cringed, " You cannot say ' stress pain' in your back until you have been, chained, stripped and tied to a stake in the attempt of being burned. Really, it is quite painful when one isn't used to it. So I suppose I would choose the latter. Much less memories of flames come along with it.
Though it also is quite a pain to twist an ankle while in the midst of a battle. Not many will stop politely after you say ' Wait! I must take off my shoe and aid it.' "

"Mazes?" the woman says with a smile, "I'm quite fond of them. Although they're not the ideal place to be lost in, there is something quite entertaining about wandering through one."
" Besides," she laughs, " Isn't life it self the greatest and most challenging maze one can possibly go through? You hit obstacles and walls, search for a way, out and possibly find either your end or reward in the finish."

If you were given a task to kill a great beast, but you knew who the beast was, would you kill it?

Do you like being outside?
"To the first, I quite enjoy being outside. Nothing can compare to the feeling of being outdoors with the wind blowing against your face and the hot earth crumbling beneath your feet. But if you happen to stop by a battlefield, it would be best to be wary.
It can become quite...messy... if you are ill-prepared."
"Have you played any sports? Do you like to do anything sports-like in your pasttime?
Please share with us!"
"Sports?" she repeated, cocking her head slightly, " I suppose I was, if running is counted. There's not much time for any other.
Well-- Unless you count fleeing for your life. But I doubt that is counted as a sport yet."
If you were given a task to kill a great beast, but you knew who the beast was, would you kill it?
" If it was for the good of the people, then yes. My own relations sadly cannot go before the lives of the mass."

Wait a minute, you're the real Joan of Arc?
Doesn't that make you, like a bajillion years old then?

I must know.... what do you do in your free time, Ms. d'Arc?

"Pardon," the young woman frowns, " a... 'bajillion'?" " I suppose that would depend on whatever time this happens to be, something I myself am not even able to answer yet. For all I know, a thousand years has past; or another possibility is that my old life could have ended only months ago. You see, I am what they would call ' in the dark' about my current situation.
Quite honestly, I always have."
"I am not immortal. Only one being that I know of is such.
To strike a blade through my chest would have the same effect as beheading and disposing of my body in the nearest wasteland... And even a gunshot, quite frankly, could do the job with less effort.
I have, and always been, human in that sense. Even living life during a guerre, known to more as the 'War of Hundred Years', was always a perilous for me as any other man in my army. The only difference may have been that on my side, I had divine intervention.
Something I may or may not be lacking now."
" And in my free time," the woman smiled slowly, "you say? I suppose I never thought of that due to time constraints. I suppose when I was a younger girl, I enjoyed playing with other children of the village I lived in. There was naught much else to do, after all.
But then war and fighting has something I have slowly grown to become accustomed to. I had become used to the rush and adrenaline of battle, and the sense that you may not return to see the light of the next day. Every new morning became something of a blessing towards me.
How funny that it seems time has grown fond of playing with me. Not that my complaints would be heard."

Who will you side with when the time comes? The humans who were meant to dominate the land, the hybrids butchered by the humans you protect, or will you become part of something new to lead the world into a better future?

Who will you side with when the time comes? The humans who were meant to dominate the land, the hybrids butchered by the humans you protect, or will you become part of something new to lead the world into a better future? --------------
"You certainly aren't one to sugarcoat things, are you not?" the French woman smiles, an almost tragic-like hint pulling at the curves of her lips. " I speak with no resentment though, as I did say that I would answer any question. And at times like these, such bluntness is refreshing to see."
Brushing her hair back from her face, a trace of nostalgia glazes over her blue eyes. "In a time long ago," she says, her voice growing hushed as her accent becomes increasingly more prominent, "I was... human.
I had dreams and aspirations just like anyone else did. I would sit in front of the window during my youth and just stare out at the sky, pondering to myself where life would take me. I had control of my life; I was still allowed to form choices for myself, without the risk of bringing down a whole nation.
In that age of youth, time was still a fond friend of mine. I had a family; I had friends; I had comrades; I had enemies.
Sometimes, I believe it would have been better for me to have died at that fiery stake. I would have given my life for something more and in the process have been unshackled from the bonds of the mortal pain and suffering." Placing a petite hand over her shoulder, Jeanne continues. "Instead, I was taken forward in time. I was...reinvented... for lack of better words and changed. I became something I wasn't, something looked more at in fear than in anything. Though I lived as a symbol of hope for my fellow comrades back during my time, I doubt they would look at me as fondly if they were to see me now. When I was still human, children would run up to us and present us with flowers when we passed by; now, children cower behind their mothers.
Just the same, my role is to defend the innocent, and those who have been wronged. A woman or man alone cannot found a new race or empire all on her own.
I cannot answer that question yet, as I don’t know if I have enough reasons or justifications to choose. One cannot fight for a cause without knowing why he or she is doing so. To blindly follow is the same as rushing headfirst into a blood bath without armour.”
